After serving just 8 years in the Marine Corps, Ryan transitioned back to his hometown of Dallas, TX in early 2003 and began working in the HR field. This led to several roles in the HR and benefits space, and in this journey, Ryan realized that there really was not any single agency or brokerage doing a good job supporting businesses in the small to mid – sized employer space. Seeing a giant business segment that was extremely underserved, Ryan set out to on a mission to right this wrong and founded H|BC in early 2011.
