Hi all,
First of all, I sincerely apologize for our lack of newsletters over the last few months. It’s been a really busy year-end for us, some good, some bad, so the lack of communication is 100% on me.
Most of you know we got flooded in late August, so we’ve been working through some construction kinks and hiccups, but the good news is they are about 99% done downstairs, so we’ll be getting our offices back soon. My wife’s company works downstairs, so all of their stuff got ruined, and a few of them moved up here with us for the last several months.
In all the craziness, it did allow us to create a more streamlined layout downstairs, so it will be much better for her and her staff and will be easier to lay out their space the we wanted it to be from day one, so that’s some good news.
On the personal side, I’ve been dealing with some family medical issues, so that has really impacted me personally and emotionally. There are only so many hours in the day.
Last but not least, last quarter, as many of you know, was renewal time for many businesses, so we’ve been dealing with that AND have had some turnover, more than normal, so the timing on that was certainly not good. We did make one amazing hire and are looking to make one more here shortly, so we will definitely come out of it much better, and already are. The timing was just pretty terrible, being last quarter, our industry’s busiest time of the year.
All that said, I am SOOO looking forward to what 2023 may bring. For various reasons, the last couple of years have been tough for many of us.
2020 and 2021 were ok for us, but 2022 really got us with the flood, personal family medical issues, etc.
The good news is that I’m stubborn, and we’re scrappy.😊 We’re all here, our families are healthy, and the future continues to look very bright, and there are really good things for us on the horizon.
We appreciate you all going on this journey with us.
Please be on the lookout in sometime in early 2023 for an invite to our delayed 10th anniversary /open house. We should have had this party back in Jan. ’21 but didn’t, thanks to COVID, so we can call it our 10th + 2nd anniversary & housewarming.
